Description

The 2024 Pinot Noir comes from a single vineyard in Pemberton in the cool climate of the southern forest region of Western Australia. The premium grapes were hand and machine harvested allowing for 10% whole bunch whilst fermenting in an open fermenter then pressed off skins after 7 days and matured in French oak barriques for 6 months. This wine displays intense aromatics of wild cherry and strawberry with an underlying earthy savouriness. Bright with jube red fruits and a good acid line throughout make it vibrant and fresh on the palate. Drink young or cellar up to 5 years. Minimal sulphites added with minimal fining & filtration - vegan friendly.

As consultant winemaker, Liv Maiorana has added some pizazz and an exciting new direction to Peacetree. This unusual varietal mix falls into the light 'chillable' red category, but has the sensibilities of serious flavoursome rose (Tavel, not Provence). Aromas of candied strawbwrry, raspberry dust and mint. vibrant flavours, super-fine tannins like veneer to the palate keep this long and taut. Zippy, fresh, punchy berry fruit. Made for drinking not thinking.
